As you may heard, vinyl sales are on the rise while CD sales are on a decline. There are many reasons why vinyl is so much better than those plastic coaster called CDs. For one, the sound is so much fuller and richer. Second, believe it or not, they are more durable than those plastic [...]

Last night just outside of NYC at All Points West Festival, Jay Z payed tribute to the Beastie Boys by covering No Sleep Til Brooklyn. As you probably know, the Beastie Boys have had to cancel their summer festival schedule due to the recent news that Adam Yauch (aka MCA) has cancer.
Our thoughts and prayers [...]

(Big ups to The Couch Sessions for this) Remember the quasi-beef between Noel Gallagher and Jay-Z. Noel didn’t think that Jay-Z was appopriate to be headlining the Glastonbury festival. Jay-Z decided to prove him and Noel’s supporters wrong by not only performing at Glastonbury, but opening with the Oasis hit “Wonderwall”. Well three Spainards by [...]

I got wind of this video fo Jay-Z performing Oasis’ Wonderwall at this year’s Glastonbury festival in England. If you don’t remember, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher was very upset that a hip hop act was headlining the festival saying:
“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it,” said Gallagher, whose band headlined Glastonbury in 1995 and 2004. If [...]

Check this video of Jay-Z on Charlie Rose talking about his new album American Gangster. Yeah, you heard right Charlie Rose. The culture of Hip-Hop is complex just as life is complex. To all [...]
