As far as Soul and R&B, England is kicking our butt. Artists from V.V. Brown to Alice Russell are making some amazing soul music. Not to rest on their laurels, a new artist by the name of Rox has just step on to the scene. Her full name is Roxanne Tataei and she is half Iranian and half Jamaican Londoner singer/songwriter from London. We just got a 45 record from her label Rough Trade yesterday, and have been really feeling the song “No Going Back”. She also stood in for Amy Winehouse recently, singing Valerie at a Mark Ronson show. At only 21, she can definitely hang with the best of them. Check her out for yourself.
