Get your red ribbon on! December 1, is World AIDS day. There are many organizations throughout the nation that contribute time, energy and resources to increase awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS. If you are looking to get involved in the local scene, the Wisconsin AIDS Fund is having an event at the Times Cinema this evening from 5:30 to 7.
Musically, Sir Elton John and the Elton John AIDS Foundation have teamed up with Penelope Cruz for the opening of The Unbreakable Kiss Mistletoe Installation in Madison Square Garden going on now til December 4th. Thanks to Simon Doonan for hipping me to the event!
Another cool find I ran across was a new digital music magazine that launched today; (RED) Wired. Their mission is to eliminate AIDS in Africa. Some artists involved are Coldplay, John Legend, Joesph Arthur, REM, Cat Power and many more. Stop thru and peep it out…paint it “red” for a good cause!
Toodles!
