I got wind of this video fo Jay-Z performing Oasis’ Wonderwall at this year’s Glastonbury festival in England. If you don’t remember, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher was very upset that a hip hop act was headlining the festival saying:
“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it,” said Gallagher, whose band headlined Glastonbury in 1995 and 2004. If you start to break it then people aren’t going to go. I’m sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance. I’m not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It’s wrong.”
His performance could be a proverbial middle finger to Noel or attempt to appease him. What do you think?
