There are some songs that just scream Summer. I’m not talking about Beach Boys classics or songs that are literally about Summer, though some of my faves are, but songs that just feel like Summer. Songs that conjure images of the open road, cook-outs and just hangin’ out with friends. Here are five of my favorite Summer songs.

How ’bout Jonathan Richman’s “That Summer Feeling”?
How about a little “Kool and the Gang” by Bobby Radcliff? I know I’ll be turning that one up many times this summer. May even play some air guitar to it at some point.
Great list of 5 songs. You get big points for having Dunnery on your list. He is an unknown giant of great music. How about Summer Breeze? I love the original version by Seals and Crofts, but other great covers have been done by THe Main Ingredient, Isley Brothers, and, most recently, by Jason Mraz
