One of my all-time favorite rockers, songwriters and cool guys, Alejandro Escovedo has a new album coming out this Summer. The album is titled Real Animal and the first single is called “Always a Friend”. It’s so great to see Alejandro back in top form after his much publicized battle with Hepatitis C over the past few years. I’ve been a big fan since his days in Rank & File. His solo work over the past 15 plus years is some of the most poignant, soulful and rockin’ in all of American music.
Recently he was invited on stage to perform with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band in Houston, TX. Which Springsteen classic did Alejandro get to play on? None. Bruce and the band took the time to learn and rehearse Alejandro’s new single! That says a lot about what the Boss thinks of Alejandro and his music. Check it out!
