I’d like to continue the list from my last post. Movies for men. Men who aren’t afraid to be men. Not buffed, waxed and polished “men”, but real men. Men who are complex. Men who think. Men who read. Men who drink (jello shots don’t count). Men who know how to respect a woman. Men who know how to drive a stick shift. Men who can shoot a decent game of pool. Men who fish. Men who can order a decent bottle of wine in a restaurant without looking like a buffoon. Men who are as comfortable in an art gallery as they are in a barbecue joint. Men who don’t believe the hype. Men who can throw a football and baseball, shoot a basketball and play on the workplace softball team without embarrassing themselves. Men who are confident in their beliefs, yet still respect others whose beliefs are different. Men who order their coffee by simply saying small, medium or large. Men who can go from a firing range to a poetry reading with equal confidence. Men who can appreciate both Citizen Kane and Anchorman.
Here is part 2 of my list of Movies for Men.
1. Fandango
2. The Thomas Crown Affair (’68 original w/ Steve McQueen & Faye Dunaway)
3. Matewan
4. True Grit
5. The Day The Earth Stood Still
6. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

This is cool. The Times of London just published their “10 Best Hitmen” list and it’s a good argument starter, too.

Don’t forget Airplane and High Fidelity. Plus Men don’t drink frozen drinks.
